At Fork in the Road, we are committed to providing high-quality and delicious products made from sustainably and humanely raised meat. We work directly with our farmers and ranchers, all of whom are part of GAP's 5-Step Animal Welfare Rating Program. We have worked alongside many of these farmers to help them transition into the GAP 5-Step Program and go through the audit process. Once they are certified, we continue to work with them to see how we can improve animal welfare efforts and move up the 5-Step ladder.
From a marketing perspective, it's valuable for us to have a third-party verifying our animal welfare efforts. Moreover, the 5-Step Program allows us to have consistent messaging when talking about animal welfare to our consumers. It's an easy to understand and transparent system that provides us with set standards for each animals.
