ANNOUNCEMENT: Version 2.0 of the 5-Step Animal Welfare Rating Standards for Chickens Raised for Meat is now in effect, replacing all previous versions. Any operations audited on or after April 1, 2013, including those undergoing re-certification on or after April 1, 2013, will be audited to version 2.0.

Currently, we are developing 5-Step standards for other animals, as well as preparing updates to original standards. Read more about our process.

As a multi-stakeholder organization, we’re committed to working in partnership with individuals from every sector concerned about the welfare of farm animals and will invite you to submit your comments on draft standards as they are available. Your opinion is valuable and important to us.
